Hello Bob & Lynne, You may not remember me but Lynne you gave me a tour of your boat while (hubby was lobstering) on Sampson Cay. You left less than an hour later. I was on a boat working as a chef next to you called M/Y Lady Diane. I really enjoyed the tour on your boat and hope you are having a wonderful and memorable adventure. Thank you for sharing it with me. If you care to see a different kind of adventure you can visit my website as well. www.freewebs.com/darleneadale Fair Winds and Following Seas............... Payback Bob... payback already. Remember when we were up \"on the hill\", you were hungry, didn\'t have a lunch, and I gave you one of my meatloaf with onion sandwiches on rye bread? How about that lobster you just speared to come my way in return? That ought to do. Keep in touch! Jay

This is really amusing! We have been living aboard our CS 36 Merlin \"LEAP OF FAITH\" for the past 6 years in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, We have chartered with the Moorings several times over the past number of years (BVI\'s, St.Lucia-Grenada,Antigua for race week) and again in Abacos,Bahamas this past February. We are in our late fifties and hope to retire in two years. We want to spend at least a couple of years sailing the rest of the Caribbean and have decided to buy a boat in Florida sometime between now and then. We decided that a \"cat\" at our stage would be the best investment and had been investigating the options. We really liked the layout of the Robertson and Caine Leopard 38. This evening, I was on a chat site and a couple of people were highly recommending the PDQ 36 and I decided to check out the PDQ website. We were amazed to see your article in Cruising World. (We tend to read \"Latitudes and Attitudes\" and \"Canadian Yachting\", so didn\'t see the original article)but it seems our courses are paralleling except we\'re just \"a couple of years\" behind. We would really like to hear how things are going and to keep in touch. Carol Ann and Dave Faith

Hello Lynne (and Bob). Lynne, I don\'t know if you remember me all that much. I own Sandpoint Computers in town. My wife and I are planning to cast off in 2009. Just the time we need to sell the house and get the kids ready. We plan to start on the east coast/ICW area as a training ground. I hope we can meet one day cruising. I\'m glad to read of your success transitioning to the cruising life. It gives hope to those like us who are planning to make the leap. Keep up the great writing. Fair winds! Chris Curtis

Hi ya! Lynne, I really enjoyed reading your article! You were definitel meant to write. Your joy comes thru quite clearly in your work. That inexpiclable message from the whale gave me goose bumps! (Hope you brought your Medicine Cards.) I am hoping that sometime in the future you will do an article explaining the secrets of \"pottying a dog\" while at sea! :) We are most curious about this! Glad to hear that Blaze is well and stays in communication.:) Sail on in Peace....Barbie

Hi Lynn & Bob, We are currently underway on our grand adventure delivery trip. We decided to go down the St. Lawrence River instead of the Canal and it has proven to be a wonderful choice. We figured that we would probably never have that chance again so that was our reasoning. We went to the 1000 Islands which I can only describe as \"magical\". It was the most beautiful place I have ever been. It\'s like something out of a fairytale. We then went on to Montreal and Quebec City which are like wonderful old european towns. We then worked our way to Prince Edward Island and then Nova Scotia. We did our first overnight passage from Yarmouth to Bar Harbour. I decided I wanted to drive during the night so with myself and my daughter on deck we were having a wonderful evening until the radar went out. It finally came back on to go out again 3 more times until it finally quit for good. Luckily by that time it was 5:00 and we were starting to see some light. It is now working again so as of yet we don\'t know what the problem really is until we get it checked out. We\'ve seen several types of whales and many seals and have literally manuvered this boat through thousands of lobster traps. It\'s pretty hard to sail when you\'re dodging lobster traps. So far we\'ve motored lots because the wind always seems to be ahead or behind. Can\'t wait to do some good sailing. We left Portland, Maine this morning and are on our way to Nahant, Mass where we will visit a classmate of Bill\'s and then keep working our way south to be home, on the Gulf Coast, by the 1st of November. Our plan is to then leave in January and head for the Turks & Caicos and work our way up the Bahama chain so that we can follow the warm weather up and do lots of snorkeling. Let us know if you are going to be near us at any time and we\'d love to get together and see you. Vickie & Bill
