Our sailing adventures continue!!
This site was created to document my sailing trip with my daughter down to Venezuela, spending 7 months on the high seas. Below you will find a quick summary, and much more detail in the links on the left. We have also written a short bit about each summer since. We will be updating more frequently. Captain Stewart

SUMMER '09 SAILING Lots!! of repairs, upgrades, and maintenance before I was comfortable launching this year. Joanne and I spent a Great! July sailing from City Island to Newport. This year we didn't feel obligated to sail very far, as we we were very happy finding quiet coves and harbors to decompress in.

SUMMER '08 SAILING We spent 6 weeks straight on the high seas [well, actually the Long Island Sound and neighboring areas.] Great fireworks at several ports on and around July 4. Great Charters; Boat delivery Marblehead, MA to Oyster Bay LI was fun. Saw whales en route Provincetown, which is always exciting. The boat behaved beautifully.

SUMMER'07 SAILING included taking a lot of evening and weekend sails with friends, and meeting great new people who chartered with us. Many beautiful weekdays also required business meetings on board! I also taught several new boat owners how to use their boat better and safer.

SUMMER'06 SAILING took us throughout the Long Island Sound, with visits to Block Island, Point Judith, Martha's Vineyard, Provincetown, and more great spots. Check our postings. Adventures commenced Memorial Day weekend and we cruised these waters and beyond until October.

Quick Summary of our 04 - 05 adventure...
We left New York on 11/10/04 and arrived in Bermuda after a harrowing experience on 11/15. After spending a week in Bermuda we left for the Virgin Islands, where the family joined us over the holidays in Dec. We then traveled to islands off Puerto Rico, back to the BVI's, and on to Antigua. Guadeloupe and Dominica followed. We stopped in St. Lucia as well as several of the Grenadines and Grenada. After an interesting stop in Margarita, Venezuela, and Tortuga, we met the family again in Bonaire and Aruba in February. We had a fabulous couple of weeks in the Dominican Republic, before a short stay in the Turks & Caicos. Finally we sailed through the Bahamas, making our way north, once again meeting up with family and having a great time. Our last leg consisted of a crossing from Florida, and then taking the ICW from NC to Virginia. And lastly, Virginia to New York. We were pretty fortunate weather-wise, and have reached our final port of call at City Island, New York.
We'll keep you updated with Book details. Check out the ship's log and photo pages.
